My primary research focus is requirements engineering, software engineering for sustainability, scalability of software systems.
Education and Previous Employment
I have received my PhD in Software Engineering from the University College London (UCL), in March 2010. My PhD thesis, “A Framework for Characterizing and Analyzing Software Systems Scalability”, was carried out under the supervision of Dr. David S. Rosenblum and with the mentoring of Dr. Tony Wicks and Dr. Emmanuel Letier. In January 2003, I was awarded a Master degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil. In March 2002, I was granted a Cum laude Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the same university. During this time, I worked as Trainee Researcher at Núcleo de Computação Científica (NCE), UFRJ.
After my graduation, I worked as a Researcher and Software Engineer at Fortent, UK (formerly Searchspace) and as a Research Fellow at University College London and University of Birmingham. I joined the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) as a Lecturer in 2012.
